Here are some hints for a configuration like my homemachine marvin. This is mostly for myself but everyone is welcome to take this infos for his own computer.
At the right you can see a picture of marvin.
Here is a running Kernel.config for a Linux 2.4.29.
It supports the stuff listed below plus
